Safety Glass

Saint-Gobain Glass

FIRE GLASS

Fire Glass is produced by Vetrotech, part of the Saint-Gobain Group. Vetrotech produce a range of fire glass variants that are suitable for glazed building applications, including:

Pyroswiss: an integrity only product that offers fire protection from both sides of the glass.

Contraflam Lite: a product that provide integrity and radiation protection, also known as the EW criteria. This classification not only keeps flames and hot gases away from the protected area, it also provides protection against the radiated heat from the fire.

Contraflam: a wide range of products that offer symmetrical fire resistance meeting EI criteria. This classification provides temperature insulation on the surface opposite to the fire, as well as protecting from flames and hot gases.

STADIP® SILENCE

Noise is a high factor of stress. It is possible to maintain a quiet interior space using efficient glazing adapted to the noise context where your glazing application is located. Noises can be very different. This ranges from urban traffic noise to the noise of an aircraft travelling overhead, as well as other general noise sources such as crowds of people and nearby worksites.

A standard double-glazing unit is generally not enough to cut noise levels. There is a very broad range of solutions to match the level of acoustic insulation glazing needed depending on the type of exterior noise pollution. The more the glazing of a building is exposed, the more important it is to select a glazing solution with a high acoustic performance. Double-glazing that includes acoustic insulation glazing laminated glass, like STADIP SILENCE, can significantly reduce the amount of noise pollution entering the glazing.

STADIP® AND STADIP PROTECT

Laminated safety and security glass STADIP or STADIP PROTECT, comprises two or more sheets of glass bonded together with one or more interlayers of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) film. STADIP glass incorporates a single PVB sheet with a nominal thickness of 0.38 mm, distinguishing it from STADIP PROTECT glass which has a minimum thickness of 0.76 mm. Laminated glasses with different levels of safety and security can be obtained by varying the number and/or thickness of each of the components. If the glass breaks, the fragments of glass are held in place by the PVB interlayer(s). In fully framed installations the broken glass retains a residual strength while awaiting replacement.

DIAMANT®

DIAMANT is a unique, very high clarity glass, valued for its attractive appearance and optical qualities. This low iron content glass provides a very high light transmittance, optimising the transparency of building glass with a truly, neutral hue. DIAMANT can be used in various applications and as a substrate for Saint-Gobain Glass solar control coatings. It is the perfect solution for building projects that need an extra degree of clarity in glazing.

PLANICLEAR®

PLANICLEAR is Saint-Gobain's standard float glass. It is available in an extensive range of thickness, suitable for a wide variety of applications and is the key substrate for Saint-Gobain Glass coatings. PLANICLEAR can be toughened or laminated for safety benefits or silvered to produce mirrors. It is also suitable for screen printing, acid etching, decoration, sand blasting, lacquering or edgeworking etc.
