Self-build your dream home with a relatively new cost-effective ‘super insulated’ building system

In support of the Government’s initiative to grow the UK’s self-build market, NCCT-ECO (build) has launched a new cost-effective building service, and is able to erect your new home in a matter of weeks.

NCCT-ECO (build)'s innovative service provides you with a ‘weather-tight and secure’ structure very quickly, enabling you to take on your mortgage at the lower rates sooner.

Once the basic ‘shell' is complete; “Self fit-out” can then take place, using local labour, at your own pace.

The service was only launched last month, and NCCT-ECO (build) is already tendering for four zero carbon houses that meet Code for Sustainable Homes level six rating.

Super-Insulated Building System

NCCT-ECO (build)’s innovative building system is a hybrid between Stressed Skin Panels and regular Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) systems.

The system uses ‘super insulated’ composite materials to provide a structural solution that is frameless, lightweight, and recyclable.

Consisting of panels, beams and moulded corners, the system is fast and easy to erect on-site, and allows for design flexibility/amendments during construction with design changes being allowed for, unlike craned-in systems.

Elastomeric render just 5mm thick can be applied directly to the external surface with no need to batten out or clad with an insulated render method. Most designs, storey heights and external finishes including render, brick and brick slips, timber, slate etc can be undertaken.

Exceptional Energy Efficiency

The hybrid SIP system offers ultra low thermal bridging and excellent U-Values – down to 0.10 U-Value as standard with a wall thickness of only circa 283mm. Air tightness of 1m3/hr/m2 can also be achieved.

The Green Guide A+ rated insulation retains its properties throughout its life supporting excellent Appendix Q SAP ratings.

In terms of your annual heating bill, with the insulating properties of this building system, it’s possible to keep it to under £80; and that’s based on a three-storey, four bedroom townhouse!

Self-build Your Home

By using NCCT-ECO (build)’s hybrid SIP building system, you will benefit from a:
• cost-effective,
• easy to erect,
• energy efficient,

and sustainable self-build dream home.
