The property required a lighting control solution that would allow the homeowner to tailor their lighting requirements in each room and for different usage scenarios, with the ability to easily access these settings while being a stylish addition to the home’s design.

Lucy Swallow Interiors and electricals company GS Electrical & AV appointed Hamilton to create a lighting control solution that was perfectly suited to the property and its functionality requirements, based on Hamilton’s easy-to-install Smart Lighting Control system.

Having worked with Hamilton on several projects, GS Electrical & AV installed 35 Hamilton switch plates and ten smart lighting control dimmer packs, allowing the lighting levels to be simply adjusted and specific scenes to be set and easily recalled. An additional relay pack was installed to control the LED lighting within the coffer ceiling in the dining room. This highlighted the beautiful recessed panel feature and makes for an even more impressive entertainment setting.

To suit the sleek, contemporary feel of the property’s design, Linea-Vetro CFX Glass Touch Controllers were installed throughout the ground floor, finished in black. This controller uses the same technology as smart phones and has eight capacitive touch controls, four for pre-programmed selections and four for level control. The first and second floors were fitted with Hartland CFX Push Button Lighting Controllers finished in Satin Steel, each with an eight-button plate that again offers programmed scene recall and level control.

In addition to the smart lighting control system, Hamilton also supplied a range of wiring accessories from the Hartland CFX® collection finished in Satin Steel. Its slim design with soft edges, concealed fixings and white inserts provided an elegant finishing touch that complemented the Lucy Swallow Interiors’ design scheme and delivered a coordinated look throughout the property.

The lighting control system has a special ‘Home & Away’ device that automatically turns the property’s lights on and off using a photo cell timer clock - providing added security when the residents are away. A lighting solution that is effortlessly controlled by stylish capacitive touch control plates that are in-keeping with the overall design theme, surpassing the homeowner’s expectation in terms of finish and functionality.
