Gilgen have provided their Sliding Door Systems for Decathlon stores in Sheffield and Giltbrook.

All Gilgen automatic doors are installed to BS EN16005 standards and come with a range of integrated safety measures, minimising any risk of accidental contact with the door.

Active infrared presence sensors fitted to Decathlon store doors now scan the area for obstructions and activate the door automatically.

Gilgen installed pocket screens at Sheffield and back of edge sensors at Giltbrook to avoid any risk of contact with the moving door leafs.

A D-Bedix control module is also positioned adjacent to each door to allow staff to manually switch between settings such as open, close, lock and hold open.

The automatic doors have a clear opening width of 1.9m, combined with the smooth near-silent operation of the SLX drive system.

Gilgen Door Systems have subsequently been appointed as the national service provider for automatic doors across Decathlon stores nationwide.
