Proximity sensors temporarily increase light levels as someone nears each bollard, helping them see their route clearly. The same technology is used in the solispost poster case that acts as both a way marker and 24-hour information display point.
The use of intelligent lighting control means that solispost products can last several days on a single charge, said Jamie Wood, Managing Director of onthecase, the vertical placement of solar cells also ensures that the unit recharges every day, even in Northern climates where there is very limited sunlight during the Winter months. For most applications the solispost need only be cleaned once a year, helping to keep maintenance costs as low as possible.
solispost bollards and poster cases are the first in a new range of street furniture solutions that is set to include mini street lighting in the near future.
