Sparrow Terrace Boxes for 7 plot development in Frome

Sparrow Terrace Boxes for 7 plot development in Frome

Bird Brick Houses Limited have supplied their Sparrow Terrace Boxes for a 7 plot development in Frome.

The sustainable residence uses solar panels and air source heat pumps to produce fossil-fuel free properties.

Director James Habershon wanted to address the birdlife habitat lost in developing the site, and targeted house sparrows in particular as numbers are down 70% since the 1970s.

The sparrow boxes have a stainless-steel mesh front, giving good adhesion for the stonework that was faced across the front of the boxes.

The mesh front can also be applied for boxes installed behind a render finish.

Since Bird Brick Houses Limited Sparrow Terrace Boxes have been installed, sparrows have taken up residence in the plot even whilst building work continued on the site.
