Spiral roof for Woodlands Trust in Glen Finglas

Spiral roof for Woodlands Trust in Glen Finglas

Polyroof 185 Warm Roof System was chosen to provide a waterproofing solution for the Gateway Building at Glen Finglas, a Woodland Trust area at the heart of Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.

The newly constructed Gateway Building was designed to blend in with the surrounding woodlands and featured a circular timber-clad exterior with a spiralling, curved roof.

The Polyroof membrane itself covered flat roof areas, seamlessly following the curved perimeters and spiral design. A bespoke GRP capping was installed to the perimeter parapets and encapsulated with the system, providing a robust and fully waterproof edge detail that followed the contours of the building.
