Tensile Fabric Structures
Novum Structures
The Cable Tensioned Fabric (CTF) System by Novum Structures offers exciting, free-form surfaces which are cost-effectively created by the biaxial tensioning of a single layer of PVC or PTFE welded fabric and minimal structure.
The CTF-System uses high strength stainless- or galvanized-steel cables. Under a Novum single source, the necessary double curved structural form and performance is readily achieved. Fabric materials transmit an average 10% to 15% of visible light, are resistant to most chemicals, perform in many diverse climates, and are fire rated.
The CTF-System is ideal for free-form surfaces, long spans, translucent or solid roofing applications, or for designs requiring minimal columns and architecture with double-curvature.
The system is rapidly manufactured by highly skilled Novum employees and is a good solution for canopies, roofs, temporary venues, or areas requiring some lightweight cladding with minimal maintenance.
Membrane printing is available on PVC and can be customized for full screen or logo requirements using digital technology.
