Dalesauna have completed a project for St Albans D.C. at the new Westminster Lodge sports centre, designed by specialist leisure architects S&P, and constructed by Willmott Dixon, this centre replaces the existing facility.

The new thermal suite is designed to follow the old Roman bathing principles, and comprises a Tepidarium heated up to 40oC, which is linked internally to a Caldarium heated up to 55oC. Both rooms are tiled in mosaic and are relatively low in humidity.
The facility also benefits from a Kelo sauna, which is a rustic sauna manufactured from Arctic timber which has been dead for 200 years and which has been hardened by the cold conditions.

A tiled steam room, tiled feature shower area and heated bench seating area is completed by the addition of tiled heated loungers and a relaxing Hydro pool (by others).
