Replacing an old smoke ventilation system within a residential block using NSHEV louvres

Thorngrove House required a new natural smoke ventilation system. D+H UK replaced the existing windows with certified NSHEV louvres, and supplied and installed the control system.

System

D+H UK provided a 10 zone system, made up of a head of stair NSHEV window and 9 NSHEV louvres.

D+H UK completed the wiring, containment, final connection and commissioning of the system.

The head of stair NSHEV was provided by cutting through the existing ceiling to create an outlet.

Our EN 12101-2 certified smoke vent NSHEV louvres meet Approved Document B recommendations for free areas sizes.

The multi-zone control panel will operate the louvres and head of stair vent in the event of a fire, clearing smoke to keep escape/emergency routes clear, and help provide smoke-free space for fire-fighting.
