VDC Trading supplied thousands of metres of Van Damme cable for the prestigious audio-visual installation in the new Dubai Opera House.

For the project, VDC Trading delivered Van Damme Cat 5E digital cable, Van Damme Classic Quad Microphone cable, Van Damme 75 ohm Video Coax cable, Van Damme 8 Pair AES 110 ohm Digigrade Green Series cable and Van Damme 1 Pair Digilog LSZH Ecoflex Purple Series cable plus connectors, stage boxes and related accessories.

As iconic in appearance as the world-famous Sydney Opera House, the design of the Dubai Opera takes its inspiration from the traditional sailing vessels of the Arabian Gulf, the classic wooden dhows that are synonymous with the world-famous Dubai Creek.

The bow of the structure will contain Dubai Opera’s main stage, orchestra and seating areas, as well as the proposed sky garden and restaurants, while the elongated hull area will house waiting areas, taxi-drop off area, and parking.
