Tobermore’s block paving selected for Saughall Massie Community Fire Station

Saughall Massie Community Fire Station was built by Wates Construction on behalf of Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service.

The fire station was designed with a striking contemporary entrance featuring Tobermore’s Fusion block paving. Fusion is manufactured with sparkling natural granite aggregates and boasts Tobermore’s renowned PrimeTop hard-wearing surface layer.

The blue light facility includes a single-storey two-bay fire station including offices, meeting space, external drill, training facilities, parking and landscaping. Designed to blend with the local landscape, the station features a green sedum roof, soft landscaping as well as bird and bat boxes to support biodiversity.

James Harman, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Wates Construction commented: “The products are competitively priced, the product looks fantastic and the client is extremely happy with the project. We will be using Tobermore on the next fire station for the great service and high-quality products.
