This time, we’re talking about the British brand’s handcrafted wallpaper. More specifically, how its distinctive paint-on-paper prints can add that little something special to any style of hotel room.

Coastal

For a nostalgic nod to the seaside, nothing beats a classic striped wallpaper. Try Closet Stripe in a pale blue and white colourway reminiscent of old-fashioned bathing suits, or a deckchair-inspired multi-stripe pattern like Tented Stripe for a more detailed look.

You can hang your Farrow & Ball striped wallpaper both vertically and horizontally, which can create a completely different look.

Farrow & Ball’s wallpaper collection also features contemporary takes on coastal motifs. If you’re looking to embrace the traditional grandeur of formal rooms in the great country houses, a detailed botanical or damask print like Renaissance, St Antoine or Silvergate will certainly look the part.

Farrow & Ball’s distinctive paint-on-paper printing adds an extra dimension to these prints, giving them an almost flocked look and a luxurious tactility.

Vintage

Vintage styling is a sure shortcut to glamour in any hotel room or suite, and one of the quickest and more transformative way to embrace the style of decades gone by is with wallpaper.

Inspired by the decade of its founding, Farrow & Ball is particularly good at 1940s style. Its Arcade design is a soft contemporary take on a classic Art Deco motif, the scallop or arch, while Enigma features a series of interlinking rectangles inspired by the efforts of Alan Turing and his team at Bletchley Park.

If you’re a lover of Art Nouveau, try Farrow & Ball’s most popular wallpaper, Lotus. Like Enigma, it’s available in a range of elegant metallic prints for even more glamour.

Contemporary

The Farrow & Ball wallpaper range boasts a wide array of contemporary prints, from clean geometrics to modern twists on botanical motifs.

Some of the brand’s most beloved modern prints are those inspired by Japanese handicrafts, such as calligraphy and paper cutting. As well as the previously mentioned Aranami, there’s Yukutori, with its stylised flock of birds in flight; Amime, a simple geometric print inspired by fishermen’s nets; and Shouchikubai, featuring organic plant motifs encased in hexagonal frames.

Another contemporary favourite is Tessella, which gives the impression of a lattice or tiled wall. Its dark blue and white colourway creates a particularly clean and fresh feel wherever its used, or try one of its softer neutral-on-neutral prints for a relaxing space.
