Triton has been recognised for its commitment to innovation and sustainability by the Property Care Association (PCA). The Innovation and Sustainability Award was presented to Triton at the Associations recent annual awards ceremony held at the National Space Centre in Leicester.
Triton impressed the PCA judges by its decision to include its products in the new NBS National BIM (building information modelling) library and then to roll out this innovative technology to its customers. This means that architects can now download all in one technical specifications of Tritons products and systems including a comprehensive virtual 3D model for direct insertion into a building model.
Triton was one of the first manufacturers in the construction industry to have its products listed in the NBS National BIM Library and the first in the waterproofing industry.
Stephen Hodgson, Chief Executive of the PCA, said: Triton Systems has taken an extremely innovative step forward with the inclusion of BIM in their business and they deserve to be recognised for this effort. The PCA is honoured to present them with this award.
Kevin Dodds, Technical and Business Manager at Triton Systems, said: The incorporation of BIM into our business will ultimately mean we can provide a more concise and detailed service to our customers. To receive this award is fantastic news.
The PCA is well known for its training and technical expertise and incorporates the British Wood Preserving and Damp-proofing Association (BWPDA), which has been in formation for 80 years. The trade body represents the UKs structural repair sector, as well as the structural waterproofing, wood preservation, damp-proofing, flood remediation and invasive weed control industries.
