The 1920s building currently being refurbished at 105-109 Strand is to be renamed Savoy Strand to reflect its history and heritage as part of the Duchy’s historic Savoy Estate. The building formally known as Norman House is being totally transformed to provide a new landmark connecting the Strand, one of London’s busiest commercial streets.

Wykamol registered installer Advance Property Preservation were appointed to carry out the Below Ground waterproofing on this historic building conversion.

Advance Property Preservation used Wykamol’s Crystalline cement based waterproofing slurry Hydradry, and then the BBA approved Cavity drain membranes to give this basement a dual B8102 design.

The team at Wykamol were there on site to check progress as well as supplying various specialist drawings and a CSSW design for the scheme for the Architects and Engineers on site.

The flexibility of Wykamol’s engineers to design these schemes meant they could use their Pi approved designs to waterproof most spaces below ground. With regular site visits Wykamol were able to sign this job off for an insurance backed warranty.
