Marley Eternit are delighted to announce that Tog 2013 will build a boathouse for Tiree Maritime Trust sponsored by Marley Eternit.
Tog is a new live-build summer school. It is open to anyone with a passion for the craft of building; whether you are a student, an architect, an engineer, a trade apprentice or a member of the public.
Tog was conceived by a team of Scottish architecture and engineering graduates as a means to address the gaps they believe are missing from conventional education. The emphasis is on teaching practical building skills and collaborative teamwork on real projects in beautiful locations.
This year, Marley Eternit are proud to sponsor the build and will be providing the roofing solution in the form of Profile 6 our UK manufactured fibre cement profiled sheeting.
Profile 6 is a durable, high strength fibre cement profiled sheeting that can be used for roofs of 5° pitch and over, and for vertical cladding in both single skin and insulated constructions. It is available in eight colours and has an installed life expectancy of 50 years with no routine maintenance.
Our fibre cement sheeting can achieve an A+ rating in the BRE Green Guide to Specification based on generic rating for UK produced profiled air cured fibre cement sheeting. Marley Eternit is the only UK-based manufacturer of fibre cement sheeting, providing customers with a reduced carbon footprint compared to overseas manufactured products.
