Westgate have installed their Flexiwall floor ceiling to solution for Halcion Express, a transport and distribution company with customers including Asda and Tesco.
Operating for nearly 40 years, Halcion Express in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, required a partition for their new warehouse premises to segregate the new loading bay area from the rest of the warehouse.
The partition can control dust ingress to the warehouse and control the overall temperature of the segregated space.
The Flexiwall floor to ceiling solution was combined with Easiguard crash barriers for additional protection against accidental damage.
The final partition wall measured 37m wide by 10m high and is made of translucent fabric, which allows natural light to flow between the two separated areas, saving on additional lighting costs.
It also included a Flexicurtain (with a vision panel) access point and a steel pedestrian door to enable staff to enter from the loading bay into the warehouse.
The Flexiwall floor to ceiling solution is a more cost-effective option in the short-term as installation times are shorter, and in the long-term, as Flexiwall solutions are easily adapted and relocatable.
Easiguard crash barriers also reduce the chance of damage to the Flexiwall, but if damage does occur, Flexiwall panels can be replaced and cost less than repairing damage to a solid wall.
