As summer approaches and the new financial year brings fresh budgets, there’s one product in particular that will save valuable time and money on every paving, decking or roof terrace job, freeing contractors up to move onto the next project.

The Em-Pad from Whitesales is the simplest, fastest and strongest adjustable paving support system on the market. It can even be delivered to site the very next day – anywhere in the UK.

Clever engineering has given the Em-Pad a unique self-levelling head, allowing the easiest and speediest installation possible. It vastly decreases the time typically taken with a manually adjusted pedestal and you’ll get millimetre-perfect results on uneven surfaces and sloping areas with a gradient as great as 10.5% / 6˚.

The Em-Pad has a height range spanning 40mm to 1000mm, so plenty of space can be left beneath slabs to run pipes, cables and other utilities. And slabs can easily be lifted at any time for below-surface repairs and maintenance.

Many years of pressure from heavy foot traffic won’t be a problem either. The Em-Pad, manufactured from heavy-duty, chemical-resistant polypropylene, is certified to take more than 2,100kg of compression. That’s the highest tolerance of any paving pedestal in the world. And because its base has a large diameter, the paving load is distributed widely to the surface below, protecting any membranes beneath.

Removable spacer tabs come as standard, to be inserted, removed or rotated as required to support almost any structure or detail. The Em-Pad can include optional perimeter spacer tabs, to guarantee even spacing at wall abutments and parapets and any lateral movement in the paved area.
