The Fairlawns Hotel and Spa is a luxurious hotel in the West Midlands, set in 12 acres of grounds and gardens. The Pette family have run the Fairlawns for over 30 years, continually improving, in particular the Spa and Wellness facilities.
The wellness facilities include the original swimming pool and gym for local membership plus hotel guests. Twenty years ago they added the thermal suite, then over the years added the sauna suite and outdoor spas.
The original thermal suite after two decades of heavy use was showing signs of age in terms of style and finishes.
Sauna 360 redesigned this area and carried out the installation in the Spring 2024. On entering the new thermal area there is a feeling of space, warmth and relaxation. Beautiful large format ceramics adorn the walls while wide glass frontages to the large steam rooms reveal the thermal attractions.
There is a good balance of warming showers, cool mist spray and ice, foot baths, heated seats and a large "woodland" relaxation area to complement the thermal rooms.

Salt steam
The large ceramic tiles are highlighted by ceiling spots and concealed underbench lights. The Sauna 360 wellness system creates a steamy environment infused with fragrance and salt vapours. The bench seats, backrests and floor are heated for added bather comfort by a low pressure hot water system routed into the insulated construction.
Herbal steam

The large format Italian tiles are continued in the herbal steam room. The steam environment is laden with herbal fragrance which is changed to suit the seasons. Otherwise the features are similar to the salt steam but the rooms are run at slightly different temperatures.
Heated seat and footrests
Aligned with the Herbal steam the alcove creates a cosy spot for relaxing.
Cool room
Post thermal experience a pleasant cooling experience awaits of crushed ice and cool mist sprays with Icy Mint fragrance.
The ice is displayed in a large rock feature to contrast the elegant surround tiles.

Rasul
The Rasul is a fully automated "pay for play" experience for up to four guests. A selection of site prepared muds are used for the mud ritual enhanced by fragrant steam, drying warmth and wash down, all colour coordinated with lighting. Throne style seats are used within with easy access to kneipp hoses for additional cleansing. The ante room also provides a small shower space and heated bench.
Heated seat and footbaths
Within an attractive recess are two footbaths. Each tub has a warm program and a cooling program with gentle air massage.
Excellent to complement the thermal experiences in the Kneipp tradition or simply enjoy a warm massage.
The foot baths are sanitised for each use and drained automatically for optimal hygiene and ease of staff cleaning.
Woodland relaxation lounge
The new extension at the back of the suite contains the relaxation loungers.
The beautiful Sommerhuber Lounger Two plus, relaxation loungers are contoured in heat and infra red omitting ceramics.
