2010 Schueco Open: World-Class Golf in East-Westphalia

2010 Schueco Open: World-Class Golf in East-Westphalia

Following the success of the inaugural event last year, the international Schueco brand ambassadors will once again be teeing off on climate protection. The venue for the second Schueco Open will be the GC Teutoburger Wald in Halle, Westphalia. On 28th June 2010, some 120 professionals and amateurs – headed by current world number six, Martin Kaymer – will contest the Schueco Open on the 6731-metre long “red course”. Like Kaymer, Bernhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie, Miguel Ángel Jiménez and Grégory Havret will also be eyeing up a potential tournament win. The participation of these five world class golfers will mark the first occasion that all five Schueco brand ambassadors have competed in this, the most star-studded invitational tournament in Germany.

Although Martin Kaymer had to miss the 2009 tournament due to injury, he was still very much in attendance at the Schueco Open. To the great delight of more than 3000 appreciative spectators at the Bielefeld Golf Club, who then looked on as top Spanish golfer Miguel Ángel Jiménez triumphed with a new course record. Kaymer, Jiménez, Langer, Montgomerie and Havret represent the Schueco model of “Energy2 – Saving energy and generating energy” around the globe. Five international brand ambassadors with one common goal: to protect our climate.
