What is Flat Roofing?

A flat roof is a low-pitch roof that looks to be almost level. Only roofs that have a pitch of 10° or less can be considered a flat roof but some degree of pitch is required for water run-off.

Flat roofs can be made from felt, asphalt, EPDM rubber, GRP fibreglass or single ply membranes such as PVC, TPO, TPE and PIB.

Flats roofs are more commonly found on houses in dry climates and on commercial buildings though contemporary home builders have been known to favour them.
