A Bold New Tunnel Has Come To Basingstoke

A Bold New Tunnel Has Come To Basingstoke

Brewers were delighted to once again support Trapped In Zone One – this time to completely transform a foot tunnel in Basingstoke.

Brewers donated 30L of Albany Masonry Paint in Thirst Quencher and Grotto to the project, which was supported by Brewers Basingstoke East. We even threw in 100m of Tesa Tape to ensure crisp lines were achieved within the design. Polyvine also generously donated varnish to the project to ensure the mural would be protected for years to come.

Trapped In Zone One was approached by Basingstoke and Deane Council to enhance the public foot tunnel in Winklebury, which was co-designed by local young people from Futures Academy and painted by artists Alex Cullen and Nick Blaney.

The mural features several landmarks from the town and have been painted in an array of colourful hues with Albany Masonry Paint.

Trapped In Zone One is a community focused, creative organisation based in East London.

Their aim is to engage with young people and the wider community to improve the health and wellbeing of diverse communities through creative practices, working with young people in schools, hosting community workshops, curating public murals, via a diverse range of partnerships with local and national organisations.

Brewers have been able to support Trapped In Zone One on various projects, including murals in Shadwell and Brick Lane.
