Tarkett is pleased to announce the release of an updated and enhanced version of its RIBA-approved CPD presentation on engineered wood flooring, entitled “Your Flooring Questions Answered – Hardwood”. With over 120 years experience in the manufacture of wood floors, Tarkett is well qualified to answer the questions.

This enlightening presentation follows the manufacturing process of hardwood flooring from the harvesting and drying of the raw timber, through the grading and hardness of different species, to the finished product. In addition, the presentation examines the effects of UV light and natural minerals, alongside surface treatments that can change the colour of the wood. The benefits of lacquer protection are also explained in detail.

Containing an extensive range of images, the presentation clarifies the different types of solid and engineered wood flooring constructions and formats. Key considerations relating to installation and maintenance are not forgotten.
