As the home of Dr Jean Milburn and her son Otis, The Chalet has set the scene for countless dramas and mishaps, but for real-life owner Cathy Chivers, it’s become a cosy and colourful sanctuary that reflects her personality – largely thanks to Farrow & Ball’s bespoke colour consultancy service.

In Cathy’s case, the brief was to overhaul The Chalet’s all-neutral rooms with colour schemes that brought out the best in its distinctive tongue-and-groove walls and traditional shape, as well as suiting the different levels of light that each room receives.

Cathy’s new looks were brought to life with a selection of high-performance interior and exterior Farrow & Ball paint finishes, including tough Modern Eggshell on kitchen cabinets, low-sheen Estate Eggshell on walls and ceilings, and hardwearing Exterior Eggshell in the conservatory.
