In a move to further elevate its asphalt offering, leading building materials supplier Aggregate Industries has appointed Shaun Elliott as the new General Manager of its Midlands asphalt division.
Effective in his new role from 6 January, Shaun succeeds Gary Brennand, who was recently named as the new General Manager of Express Asphalt.
Shaun will be responsible for growing the major construction supplier’s burgeoning asphalt operations in the Midlands, as well as spearheading the highest standard of customer service.
Joining Aggregate Industries in 2011 as a Procurement Manager, Shaun has risen through the ranks at one of the UK largest construction supply firms, accumulating over 10 years of experience in the sector.
Most recently, he has held a number of senior positions in recent years including his current role as General Manager for Charcon Construction Solutions & Head of Supply Chain for Concrete Products. As a result, Shaun has an extraordinary track record across concrete products, supply chain, logistics and procurement.
Shaun will report directly into Chris Hudson, Managing Director of Asphalt.
Commenting on his appointment, Shaun Elliott said: “I am excited to take over the leadership of the Midlands Asphalt division at such a pivotal time for the Aggregate Industries business. Despite the construction materials sector facing ongoing challenges due to the pandemic, through our consistent high-quality asphalt supply, there’s also exciting opportunities where we can make life easier and more convenient for our valued customers.”
Chris Hudson added: “I’d like to congratulate Shaun on his new position. Asphalt plays an important part of our business strategy and with Shaun in the role, I am confident we will be able to further grow the business and continue to supply the highest level of products and services to our customers - who remain at the heart of everything we do.”
