Air France mezzanine project

Air France mezzanine project

In 2009 AirFrance instructed R.P. Aerosystems of Littlhampton to proceed with the design of a special strucure that was required to site one of R.P’s framous training modules for their fleet of new “Super Jumbo” Airbus A380 Aircraft.

Because the A380 has two floor levels, a two level mezzanine was produced with heights to match the actual aircraft. The modules on the mezzanine house a training room on each mezzanine level and a replica of the A380 fuselage interior and exterior housing door mechanisms on each level and the escape slides. Cabin crew train extensively to hone their skills prior to actual service in the air.

Mezzanine International designed, manufactured and installed this special structure in the Air France facility at Charles De Gaulle Airport, one of Europe’s busiest hub Airports.
