Alexandra brings the finishing touch to retirement homes

Alexandra Security has provided ball-top railings to compliment the stylish and modern building façade at a retirement home on Wellington Road in Wokingham.

For many people the move to a retirement home may be the last move they’ll ever need to make, which is why McCarthy & Stone, the UK’s leading retirement housebuilder, put so much effort into the quality and finish of their properties.

In addition to the standard pier-to-pier runs of railings, they also specified two curved panels with a reducing gradient to be placed either side of the car parking area. These panels would carry the all-important ‘Queen’s Gate’ iron works that help to finish off this impressive installation.

Vertical railings have found their way onto many residential and commercial projects, but more and more specifiers are looking to get creative, with special design features that help to raise the profile of their development to welcome new and existing customers or simply act as permanent and defining part of the specifiers commitment to quality and detail.

It may be hard to visualise a railing design, which is why Alexandra supports any proposed installation, no matter how intricate, with a bespoke set of CAD drawings, showing the end user how the finished structure will look, and the contractor how it will be installed.
