Marley Alutec’s range of aluminium Aligator snap-fit rainwater systems provides easy and fast installation with a choice of designs to suit traditional or modern properties of any size.

The range includes:
Aligator Classic: a domestic size ogee style gutter system with external unions and brackets; ideal for community or local authority housing.

Deepflow, Ogee and Boxer profiles: a sleek and unobtrusive solution for modern building designs with internal joints and concealed brackets.

Case study: Warren Wood Manor
For this £19 million mansion in Hertfordshire, the developers needed to blend traditional styles with modern materials.

The challenge:
Whilst the mansion and 24-car garage were both new-builds the property’s carriage house stable was a pre-existing structure. The traditional design and construction meant that the building needed significant but sensitive renovations. The new build mansion needed to complement the heritage context as the developers didn’t want to lose the estate’s historic charm. Where possible, they wanted modern building materials that could replicate the traditional style to avoid an aesthetic clash between the stable and the mansion.

The solution:
The durable, strong and easy to install products from Marley Alutec’s Aligator range were selected. The main house was equipped with an Aligator Ogee No.46 rainwater system and 102mm Traditional circular downpipe, whilst the carriage house was fitted with the Aligator Classic rainwater system and 63mm Aligator Classic circular downpipe.

All the products were specified in Marley Alutec’s exclusive Heritage Black. The paint colour and finish perfectly emulates the style of traditional cast iron pipes – delivering the authentic historical appearance required on listed buildings or in conservation areas, but without the drawbacks associated with the heavy and high-maintenance case iron.
