Architectural solutions specialist Aliva UK’s AlivaBrick slip system and stone rainscreen cladding combination are making a dramatic impact on the London skyline, as featured in their latest drone videography showreel.
The customised facades on Hayloft Point, Unite Students’ 920-bed Purpose Built Student Accommodation development, look stunning by day and by night in the new eye-in-the-sky footage.
The bespoke AlivaBrick and stone cladding facade combination blends into the capital’s built environment beautifully, as well as paying testimony to the thermal efficiency benefits of an External Wall Insulation brick slip system.
Over 9,000sqm of A1-fire rated, Kiwa UK certified AlivaBrick have been installed in red, brown and cream slips as well as 800sqm of large format natural stone cladding as accent detailing.
The facade mix has created a flagship aesthetic across the L-shaped building that has a mix of 24-storey, 16-storey and 8-storey elements and was built on the site of a former 16th Century Shakespearean-era playhouse.
Aliva UK worked in partnership with architect Hadfield Cawkwell Davidson, main contractor RG Group and installer PIC Construction Group to bring Hayloft Point forward to the Purpose Built Student Accommodation market for Unite Students.
Hayloft Point is a facade industry award-winning development, recognised in the Insulated Render and Cladding Association (INCA) awards in the New Build Brick Effect finish category.
James Ormerod, Managing Director, Aliva UK, said: “This stunning combination of our A1, Kiwa certified AlivaBrick and stone rainscreen cladding have helped transform the site of a former 16th Century Shakespearean era playhouse into sleek and stylish homes for students in the heart of the capital.”
