Aliva UK is proud to have been represented on a football and cultural tour of Accra, Ghana.
The trip is in support of the organisation Rising Stars of Africa, which aims to shape a better future for Africa’s youth through sports, education and character development.
A delegation of first team and development team players from Accrington Stanley Women’s FC has flown out to Accra for the three-week sports and cultural tour in partnership with Rising Stars of Africa.
The Accrington Stanley Women faced Ghana’s U-17 women’s national team, the Black Maidens, in a friendly at the Accra Sports Stadium.
As part of the programme Accrington Stanley Women’s FC donated clothes, stationery, books and a range of football kits and shirts including one sponsored by Aliva UK.

The partnership between Rising Stars of Africa and Accrington Stanley Women’s FC is designed to go beyond the pitch, with a focus on cultural exchange and mutual learning. The English side’s visit to Ghana’s historic sites reflects the broader aim of the tour: to foster understanding and appreciation between the two cultures.
The tour has been more than just a football trip, with all involved benefitting from immersing themselves in a new a vibrant culture.
