Type of works: Sika-Trocal Type S membrane used to re-roof church spire.

The main part of the brief was to re-roof the church spire in a long lasting and proven material and to match it to the existing white church cross. Sika-Trocal Type S 2mm membrane was used on the project in a specially ordered white colour along with the matching SE profile which was welded on to the membrane. The result has delighted Sanderoof, the main contractor DJ Hughes and even the congregation.

Sika-Trocal’s Area Technical Manager, Shay Casey, was on hand throughout the project and at its completion to issue the final guarantee. Given the relatively unique nature of the job, the Sika-Trocal disc fitting system proved to be a particular advantage on site, allowing for a speedy and effective fixing of the membrane to the plywood base.
