Allgood provided spoke and sustainable ironmongery products for an office fit-out at Caitlin HQ. The interior has been transformed to play host to some 1,000+ Catlin employees and visitors. Catlin’s brand identity and the workings of their business pointed to the need for a physical rendering of their core values, such as accountability and transparency, to create spaces which encourage face-to-face communication and collaboration.
Before Allgood could get involved with the project, proof of their environmental credentials was required. A comprehensive environmental questionnaire that covered every area of Allgood's business was completed. The manufacturing processes of Allgood's products were scrutinised, focusing on recycled content of product, source of raw material and the percentage of wastage from the manufacturing process. Additionally, Allgood's company environmental policy, their supplier’s policies and our environmental accreditations all had to be supplied.
Once architects Artillery was convinced of Allgood's environmental credentials, Allgood began creating the ironmongery specification. The architect had very precise ideas as to what they wanted and Allgood aiding them in the process. Bespoke pull handles were designed and manufactured, achieving the required aesthetic. A full ironmongery specification was created around these designs providing guaranteed performance for the high specification offices.
