TThe CBSO (Central Birmingham Symphony Orchestra) needed to update their aged and worn demountable stage; they required staging equipment which could be used in different configurations as well as being height-adjustable.

The Alu-Combi fitted their specifications perfectly as it was height adjustable, of modular design and could take a full 765kg/m3 load bearing. The CBSO required a waterproof, anti-slip stage surface and a total of 60 stage platforms were purchased. As typical in many performance venues the staging was split between tiering for the audience and the actual performance stage.

The stage was also equipped with heavy duty handrails as the venues staging system comes under heavy and frequent use. The CBSO also required a storage solution and required 8 Alu Combi storage trolleys each storing 16m2 of staging on just 2m2.
