Alutec help reform Thursford Castle

Alutec help reform Thursford Castle

Marley Alutec have used their Evoke eaves solutions and Evolve rainwater ranges to help turn derelict 19th century chapel Thursford Castle in Norfolk, into a stunning residential project.

The Evoke composite aluminium coping system was used around the perimeter of the new build’s flat roof.

With weathertight butyl adhesive seal, the Evoke coping system will maintain a 100% weathertight seal throughout its 50-year life expectancy and outlast any EPDM compression seals normally used.

The system is also BRE tested to withstand hurricane force winds of up to 176MPH and Nano self-cleaning paint finish also keeps maintenance costs to a minimum.

Alutec’s Evolve Deepflow rainwater system was also installed, including the Flushfit downpipe in 76mm. The system has a flow rate of up to 4.9 l/s and 232m2 per downpipe.

The system itself is highly corrosion resistant and will never need re-painting due to it being manufactured from marine grade aluminium.

All products were specified in 7021 Granite Grey finish, to complete the aesthetic of the brand-new residential project.
