To the company’s delight, Stannah Lift Services were nominated in the 2009 ASDA Brick Awards, for Best Sub-Contractor of the Year. Never before in the seven–year history of the Awards has a lift company been nominated.

Peter Perry, Service Director and Ian Carter, Escalators and Moving Walkways Manager, attended the glittering Awards ceremony in Leeds, along with 500 people from all corners of the building industry, and were absolutely thrilled with the nomination.

Peter Perry commented: ‘It was a terrific surprise to be told we were nominated for an ASDA Brick Award. We immediately asked our client what it was we needed to do to win next year and the answer was ‘just keep doing a good job’ - so we certainly will!
We were particularly pleased with the recognition as the project included our escalator and moving walkway products, our newest product area. Huge congratulations and thanks go to Ian Carter and his team in the Escalator Department for all their hard work. Lift Consultants Dunbar and Boardman, who worked with Stannah, were equally delighted with the nomination."

The annual ASDA Brick Awards nominees are selected according to the sub-contractor’s performance which is marked on each and every project by both ASDA and the Main Contractor and the nomination received recognises a consistent performance across the board.
