Hygienik completed the refurbishment of two Wards at Trafford General Hospital using two of its antimicrobial PVC wall cladding systems.

Over 1,000 square metres of antimicrobial cladding was installed in 10 days during the UK’s first full lockdown in 2020.

Antimicrobial cladding was specified to create and maintain the highest standards of hygiene and to support the hospital’s Infection Control measures.

2.5mm white AM-Clad Antimicrobial Wall Cladding was used in assisted bathrooms and 2mm grey and white AM-Guard Antimicrobial Wall Protection was used to protect walls in kitchens, storage rooms and staff areas.

Extensive thermoforming was used throughout the wards to avoid creating exposed joints and seams which can potentially harbour germs.
