Black powder coated aluminium Brocklebank 20/5 architectural mesh ceiling panels have been installed within a theatre at the National Library of Latvia at Mukusalas Street, Riga.

Officially opened in August 2014, the new state-of-the-art National Library of Latvia was designed to be both a striking architectural symbol for Latvia and a multi-functional structure that meets the needs of a modern information based society.

The theatre ceiling was designed and supplied by Locker Architectural ready to fit to the existing steelwork structure.

The ceiling effectively conceals vents, diffusers and ducting, and provides easy access for maintenance.

The mesh structure means the ceiling is acoustically transparent, and the dark colour focuses the attention of the audience towards the stage area.
