Kennett Brothers Ltd's latest project involved major remodelling of an existing property in Sevenoaks, Kent. After demolishing a single storey extension on the east elevation; works included building a two storey and single-storey extension to the east and west elevations respectively; converting the loft into habitable living space; building a new porch and the design and building a single storey orangery extension.
The client’s main challenge was to find a rainwater solution that dispersed the rainwater effectively and fit the curved fascia detail on the newly built orangery extension.
Area Sales Manager, David Capel discussed the possibilities with Eric and agreed that the best option would be Legion Pressed Aluminium Box Gutter and Colonnade Aluminium Flushjoint Downpipes, both Polyester Powder Coated (PPC) in RAL 9005 black matt finish. Samples of the product and polyester powder coating colours and finishes were supplied to the client so that Eric could be assured of the quality of the products he had chosen.
David agreed to return to site once the fascias and roof had been completed so that a template of the radius could be taken, and a full site measure of the site could be carried out. Drawings were then produced by ARP's in-house CAD team for the client to approve. Templates were made and laid out on the roof so that Eric could check to make sure they were accurate.
ARP was chosen to supply the rainwater system on this site as the client was confident that ARP had demonstrated the capability to deal with the complexities of the project from the technical aspect, through to the professional on-site assistance and quality of the product.
Eric Zijdenbos said “I am very pleased with the colour and look of the gutters and the way they blend into the fascia, in particular the curved guttering on the Orangery. You would not know the gutter was there”.
