ASF Supply Balustrade Railings for a Rooftop Terrace in Great Portland Street

ASF Supply Balustrade Railings for a Rooftop Terrace in Great Portland Street

ASF were approached to supply balustrade railings for a rooftop terrace and fourth floor balcony in Great Portland Street, London.

The ASF Stowe Post was chosen because they be cast in ductile SG iron so that they would comfortably surpass any applicable loading requirements.

For the roof terrace, the standard root fixed ASF Stowe Post was used, although the root was lengthened by 300mm by the request of the client.

On the balcony area, a pattern alteration was made so that the posts could be side mounted, being mechanically fixed into exposed structural steelwork on the building.

ASF also supplied lengths of galvanised rail, and several bespoke manufactured right-angle returns. Rails were connected using internal rail connectors.
