Asphalt App upgrade debuts innovative new features

Advancing its digital offering to make life easier for busy customers, Aggregate Industries has upgraded its Express Asphalt App with new features such as information on tools and equipment and a dedicated section for case studies.

The upgraded version boasts an improved tonnage calculator enabling customers to determine the volume of asphalt required prior to arrival on-site.

This is supported by improvements to the app’s in-built GPS service, which now not only helps customers to locate the nearest local depot to pick up materials quickly and efficiently, but also allows them rate any one of Aggregate Industries’ 36 asphalt sites nationwide. In addition to a sleek new appearance, users will not only find the new app clearer, easier to navigate, and more user-friendly, they will also have the opportunity to provide instant feedback.

What’s more, the app gives users access to news and information via a live Twitter feed, designed to help customers get up-to-the-minute reports on the latest developments in asphalt.

Duncan Reaney, General Manager of Express Asphalt at Aggregate Industries UK, said: “The new and improved Express Asphalt app is part of our commitment to revolutionising the asphalt specification process by digitising our offering and providing a ‘one stop shop’ for all things asphalt. “By making it simpler and quicker to choose, order and pick up our products, we hope to play an important role in streamlining operations and improving efficiencies for time-stretched trade sectors.”
