Providing aesthetic updates and increased functionality to the popular current range, ASSA ABLOY will be extending its door closer range to include an option with a stainless steel finish.

Released in response to growing customer demand, the new stainless steel finish provides an aesthetically pleasing variant of the DC500 and DC700 cam motion closers, whilst a replacement stainless steel arm will complete the fresh look.

The new stainless steel range, which will eventually be extended to include all models of ASSA ABLOY Door Closers, is in addition to the popular aluminium range, suitable for a variety of applications, and will be available towards the end of 2012.

A back check variant, available on the DC500, has also been introduced to combat damage to entrance and exit doors caused by high winds or aggressive usage. Enabling a ‘delayed action’ in the closing of the door, this resistance within the door closer prevents the door leaf from being thrown open, preventing damage to the door, doorframe and door furniture.

Creating additional flexibility and ease of use the angle and resistance of the back check can be varied according to the requirements of the application.
