ASSA, part of ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, a division of ASSA ABLOY, has announced this years ASSA Diploma winners.
Following an intensive three-day course at the ASSA ABLOY Academy in Willenhall, ASSA has presented its top three students with their awards and prizes, with top prize of £500 of shopping vouchers and a trophy going to Christine Hunter from W.T. Lynn Ltd in Stoke-on-Trent.
Second place and vouchers worth £200 went to Louise Elms from Spiller AI in Yeovil, with Clive Corey of Mercia Hardware Ltd, Coventry receiving third place.
The specification course involves an in-depth look at ASSA products, specification solutions and industry-wide issues. This culminates in an exam, for which the top three are recognised every year.
Commenting on her achievement, Christine Hunter, said: Ive been working at W.T. Lynn Ltd for nine years, and in that time Ive gained a lot of industry knowledge and experience, but the ASSA Diploma has really helped me to feel more confident in specifying ASSA products.
My boss, Steve Lynn, came top of the class two-years earlier, so Im delighted to have replicated his success, and its great news for our business. Im due to undertake my Dip GAI qualifications next year, and Steve also won best in year for that, so lets hope I can equal his achievements again!
Malcolm Dolloway, Distribution Development Manager for ASSA ABLOY Security Solutions, added: The ASSA Diploma is a great opportunity for locksmiths and AIs to familiarise themselves with the more technical aspects of ASSA products, as well as obtaining a greater understanding of the demands of the specification sector.
Every year we have really positive feedback from those who attend the course at the ASSA ABLOY Academy, so we feel its important to recognise their achievements rewarded the best in class but also offering continual business support to all.
