The AV Group is supporting longstanding client Wates Living Space in its programme to deliver affordable homes in Hull. They have provided over thirty units to three sites and the latest ten units have just been installed, creating welfare accommodation for staff and contractors during the development of the project.

With more than 80 sub-contractors and 45 apprentices employed across the three sites the buildings will provide valuable space for the hard working teams. Six units are on the ground floor with four stacked on top and a viewing platform and large gantry enable easy access and views across the construction site. The new buildings will provide toilets, washrooms, office and locker space for workers on the development.

Commenting on the contract AV Group’s Helen Scott said: “The final phase of this project needed an especially fast turnaround and we were able to accommodate that without any real difficulty. Within 24 hours of delivery however the client needed to change the specification slightly which meant we had to switch the configuration of the waste and kitchen spaces around and also amend the landing area due to restricted space. We are always totally flexible in our delivery and it was no trouble to make these last minute amends and we competed the delivery and installation in just 24 hours.”
