Jackson Windows showcased the versatility of AluK aluminium in a Lincolnshire barn conversion, where slim‑sightline 58BW windows, 58BD French doors, and BSF70 bifolds delivered light, efficiency, and a contemporary upgrade while respecting the building’s heritage.

The real versatility of AluK aluminium windows and doors was perfectly demonstrated in this stunning installation carried out by Jackson Windows in Lincolnshire.

The owners of the traditional stone built barn conversion chose the classic simplicity of AluK’s 58BW windows and doors to give their home a contemporary upgrade, but chose a textured black finish to ensure that it was still perfectly in keeping with the style and heritage of the building.

The slim sightlines of AluK’s 58BW windows and 58BD French doors mean the barn now benefits from more natural light, while five separate two panel BSF70 bifolds mean the owners can effectively open up the rear of their home for a seamless indoor/outdoor connection which still respects the integrity of the original design.

A total of 12 58BW windows have been installed in the barn conversion – the most striking of which are full-height fixed lights on the ground and first floors, which echo the style of original barn doors. There are also set of open-out French doors in the suited 58BD door system, all in the same RAL9005 textured black finish, complete with black hardware.

As well as transforming the look of the property, the new Part L compliant windows and doors have boosted its efficiency and ensured that the owners can relax knowing they have chosen a sustainable, low maintenance solution which will last for decades to come.
