When this property was built, the waterproofing works had sadly failed. The external membrane system that had been installed could not be salvaged because all the grounds had been filled and covered over.
The scheme would still need a dual waterproofing scheme to cover the works to Bs8102 certification.
And of course, any design would need to be approved by a CSSW qualified designer.
Basement Waterproofing Solutions were on hand to repair the structure and bring the waterproofing works up to standard. Alongside this, the Wykamol team were also involved in helping with an approved design to waterproof the structure.
First a Type A cement-based coating Hydradry was used internally as Wykamol could not get back to the outside structure to install a system there, this was then followed by a Type C membrane system to create a dual scheme.
Both systems are BBA approved and hold all relevant approvals for below ground waterproofing. Alongside this, Wykamol’s registered installer included a warranty for all works for a period of 10 years for the client.
Working to Bs102 is what the Wykamol team achieve on all projects. The Wykamol team hold CSSW qualifications also, meaning they are able to attend site and conduct designs to these kind of projects.
