Client: Sentinel Housing Association
Type of works: installed Soffit and Fascia system
The new aluminium Soffit & Fascia system from Alutec has been installed as part of a regeneration project by Sentinel Housing Association in Basingstoke.
A new and innovative concept in roofline solutions, Alutec soffit, fascia and coping systems are manufactured from composite aluminium, a material that has a proven track record over the last 30 years. It has been used as a cladding material on some of the worlds most prestigious and in particular high rise buildings, where exceptional durability and aesthetic appearance are key.
Alutec composite aluminium systems have a life expectancy of 50 years or more. The recycled polyethylene and aluminium layers provide the structural integrity, whilst the PVDF paint finish is the most durable and stable available.
120 three-bedroom maisonettes in Faroe Close and Maldive Road have been demolished and replaced with 237 new homes. The new homes are made up of 1 and 2 bed apartments and 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses, with a mix of rented and shared ownership tenures.
