Brewers Hastings wanted to contribute to some fantastic new murals being painted in their local area, so decided to donate 50L of Albany Smooth Masonry paint to add some next level colour to the coast!
Two areas in need of a revamp at St Leonards in East Sussex have been transformed with vibrant murals.
The first mural incorporates a butterfly and flowers, now adorning a building in Hatherley Road on behalf of a cultural heritage and wellbeing social enterprise, which supports racialised and under-served communities. They repurpose long-term and empty buildings and land into an accessible and inclusive community space.
The other mural is at the local station on the site of an old café. The building had been vacant since 2013 and had become an eyesore, which had a negative impact on the town and visitors. Local artist Christine Gist, along with Guerilla Joe and Richard Heley campaigned long and hard to be able to turn this once gloomy site into something dynamic and colourful.
Branch Manager, Mandy Verrall said: ‘We were delighted to help both sites and we feel the results speak for themselves!’
