Wandsworth Borough Council entrusted Langley with two bespoke challenges for the roof refurbishment works at Belleville Primary School.
Firstly, a decision had been made to remove the existing internal drainage system on the flat roof areas between the slated pitched roofs. This meant that Langley had to reverse design the falls to run towards the newly devised external gutters.
This was achieved using Langleys Parafoam Ultra Tapered Insulation and Parafor Solo cap sheet to welted drip detailing at roof perimeters.
The second challenge was the replacement of numerous rooflights on both the flat and pitched roofs. Langley designed individual structural rooflights, including pyramid top hats, for the pitched areas and bespoke modular units for the flat roofs.
The resulting installation handled by Langley approved contractors Breyer Group plc, is an outstanding showcase of the new system design.
