Bolton based Booth Commercial, a new operating arm of Booth Industries has announced significant market penetration since its launch in October 2008.
The commercial steel door producer has had a successful first year of trading, winning contracts worth over £1.5M both in the UK and overseas.
Barry Gregson from Booth Commercial said: Since launch our order intake has exceeded expectations. We won more than a £1m in new contracts in the first few months of trading and have continued to experience high demand for the products we offer.
Booth Commercial is a division of Booth Industries, a world leading producer of high integrity blast resistant, security, acoustic, fire and large access doors and has benefited from the success of its parent company. Barry said: Booth Industries has expanded aggressively in the UK and worldwide this year, taking advantage of the global growth in infrastructure projects, particularly high speed rail and road tunnels. They have also secured major contracts in their traditional nuclear, offshore and defence market sectors supplying specially designed steel doors for multi-million pound schemes. This in turn has helped Booth Commercial which in addition to expanding in its own right has worked with the core business on home based and overseas contracts, supplying lighter, commercial grade elements of door packages.
Contracts won in recent months include supplying two UK data centres with fire doors and providing pressure resistant fire doors for South Africas new Gautrain tunnel project. Gautrain is a gigantic rapid rail link, forming part of the infrastructure upgrades planned for completion prior to the 2010 World Cup Soccer Competition. The rail link between the International Airport of Johannesburg and Pretoria which will help facilitate the influx of visitors to the World Cup opening and closing matches.
