Brickfab has appointed Gareth Beale as Finance Director.

Gareth (pictured right with Nigel Watkins) joined Brickfab in May 2016 as Financial Controller and Company Secretary and has been promoted in recognition of the significant contribution he has made to the company since joining.

Managing Director, Nigel Watkins said; “We were pleased to have made such a good appointment when Gareth joined the business, and we have been impressed with the impact he has made during the short time he has been with us.”

Brickfab supplies pre-fabricated building products to all of the major UK house builders and has its design centre and main production unit in Pontypool. The Company has another factory in Stoke on Trent, employs 75 staff, and has seen consistent growth during the 20 years it has been in business. It has invested heavily in new production space and computer controlled automated machinery in recent years, with the help of Welsh Government assistance. The company is now a major employer in Torfaen and continues to attract some of the brightest talent in the manufacturing sector.

Gareth, who joined Brickfab from Yuasa Batteries, where he was Finance Controller and Company Secretary said, “I have been surprised just how efficient and effective this medium sized manufacturing business is. The willingness of the staff to pull together in such a professional way has been an unexpected pleasure for me in making the move. I am very pleased to join such a dynamic and forward-looking business, with a ‘blue-chip’ customer base, sound financial base and shareholders who have a clear, long-term view of where the business is going. I am delighted to be joining the Board at this exciting time.”

Gareth is a Physics graduate from the University of Manchester and originally trained with KPMG.

Nigel added, “Gareth brings to Brickfab, a wealth of experience from his years working in manufacturing at a time when the UK house building market is demanding more and more ‘off-site’ manufacturing and pre-fabrication. This represents a significant appointment for Brickfab and strengthens the executive team in order to deliver the ambitious plans we have for the business.”
